#WhyIServe: The Ward Family

Hello my name is Alexyn. The reason I serve is to get closer to God to learn more about him, so after I learn about him I can go and tell others about him. I also serve because it is a family tradition from my mom’s family. The last reason I serve is because the church just feels like home, because everyone is just so nice and kind 🙂 .

My name is Andrea Ward and I am a member of the Spiritual Enrichment committee and serve as Eucharistic minister here at Holy Family. I grew up in a small town with a small congregation, and I began serving with my grandparents and parents. We assisted with cleaning the church after Sunday mass, to preparing meals for events to singing in the choir and alter serving.  It has always been important to me to serve and give back to the community using the gifts and talents that God has given me. Since moving to Regina, I continue to serve as it is a way to grow in my faith as an individual, as a family and as a church community.  It is also a way to meet new people, develop new skills and to continue to share these skills and talents in our parish community.  It always feels so much better to share and give back what I have been so blessed to have been given.  I would encourage anyone to join a committee or volunteer within the parish as it is so rewarding!

My name is Ajay Ward. The reason I serve is because it’s fun and I’m passionate about helping the church and learning the ways of the Parish.
